In Mexico, Carnitas are made in large copper pots, cooked slowly with special ingredients to make them tender. They are usually made utilizing all parts of the pig. I usually use country style pork ribs. They are typically sold in markets & special restaurants & are in large demand on Sunday mornings...

Melt the Crisco Season the pork Add pork to Crisco
Add other ingredients Cook Done
Serve with tortillas & guacamole
